As in many cases, the laws and regulations can vary from city and county, but many rules are quite accommodating for Florida tiny home builders. Some counties have a minimum square footage requirement, but others allow 600 feet or less for tiny living.

It’s important to note that some counties, like Sarasota, require you to move parked tiny houses every 45 days. Tiny homes on wheels, or THOWs, must be registered with the Florida DMV and must be road-friendly.

  14. Im interested in converting my truck into a RV styled tiny home. The shower area (30 square) with an incinerator toilet in the back. A small sink and stove top, small full size refrigerator, swing down TV (75 in) and two turn around power recliners for the driver and pax seats (to view the TV) and a tray table for meals or computer use. Im a disabled vet looking to travel, wanting to maximize gas mileage.
