We just launched the new Tiny House Conference website with all the details about our 2015 Tiny House Conference which will be held in Portland, OR. With the launch of the site we are announcing our early bird tickets, which you save $50 on each ticket!
Today I thought I’d share 5 reasons you should buy tickets now, instead of waiting to later.
1. $50 off until Oct. 1st
It isn’t often we do discounts on tickets and I got dozens of emails last year asking if there was going to be another sale as we got closer to the event. I had to sadly say there wasn’t and people who waited to the last few months or weeks, had to pay full price.
2. You get first pick of your sessions
We are doing things a little different than last year. This year we are having people choose their sessions at the time of registration. Meaning that as the sessions fill up, your choices will be less. So for those who register early, they can choose any session they want, while those who wait to the last minute might have no choice at all, because the other sessions are filled up.
3. You’ll get first chance at booking the accommodations of your choice
You may decide that you want to stay at the hotel, but some may opt for a hostel or an airbnb; what about booking a stay at the Tiny House Hotel which is in Portland? I know the hostels have limited beds, the Tiny House Hotel only has 5 tiny houses to stay in, so if you wait until later, your options may be limited.
4. Flights are much cheaper right now
Booking flights last minute can get expensive, so don’t wait until the very end. A recent trip to Portland from the east coast was only $350 round trip when I booked it 3 months in advance; I checked a few weeks before I left and the same flight had risen to $1,200!
5. We have some pretty awesome special surprises coming your way

The Tiny House Conference was a total blast this weekend. So many amazing people, houses and a ton of fun. I am going to do a quick recap now, but later on I’ll get more into the details once we get all the photos in. We had people come from the west coast, the bottom of Florida, all over Canada and even Alaska! So here are some fun photos from the conference and we will have many more photos and videos to come.

A few months back we did a Tiny House Chat on building a small business in tiny houses. The concept was on The Tiny Life, we talk about how you live tiny, how to live in a way that inspires you, in a way that you follow your passion.
What I realized one day that it was important for me to begin to match my career or how I earn an income to the way I want to live in my tiny house. It’s been a big shift in thinking for me because I’m about to move into my tiny house and not having rent or a mortgage has changed my financial situation so positively that I can now live and work in a way that suits me more.
So it got me thinking about working with a few awesome people that specialize in making an inspired life, living/working in a location independent fashion, building a business that suits me and then also sharing my own experiences and know-how. We are kicking around the idea of running a destination workshop on how to do all this and wanted your input.
So today I have a quick survey that I’d love your help with its just a few short questions and I think tiny house people would be interested in not only learning to live tiny, but how to match the rest of their life to tiny houses, follow your passions and live life as an adventure.
With the roll out of Tiny House Craftsman we are also adding to the line up our Tiny Workshops! You might have noticed a new link on our menu – “Events” – which will bring you to where you can sign up for them. Our online tiny workshops are a quick way for you to learn everything you need to know about tiny houses, how to build, what the life is like, and much more!
Each session is 30 minutes long on a specific topic and you can get all your questions answered. Our first session will be an intro to tiny houses where you can get a lot of your burning questions answered. Followed up by that we’ll get down to the nitty gritty and focus on particular topics.
