Alps Chalet

I found this rehabbed Swiss chalet that has taken an old rustic chalet that has been redone in a modern interior. The house was dismantled, a new foundation/basement was laid, a new base was added, then the original wood was reconstructed on top.  It is also has a solar array for power.

  1. Such a beautiful place.

  2. This is so very cool!

  3. Wow is right. I’d love to see more pictures of the insidle

  4. Breathtaking. It must be so amazingly beautiful to wake up here.

  5. Wow, this is beautiful. I could live in that in the summer.
Too much snow for the winter.

  6. This looks amazing… but is that a door to the abyss I am seeing? Is there an added deck that I can’t see in these pictures?

  7. Oh wow – what a beautiful view! Wish I could see this in person.

  8. The Swiss are brilliant at this kind of thing – most homes are fairly minimal, well-designed and renovations of older homes are out of this world, certainly compared to what I’ve seen elsewhere.
I live in one – a 1770 half-timbered house that was gutted and rebuilt on the inside 20 years ago, while the outside is listed and no changes allowed!

  9. That is so neat, but won’t it be buried under snow in the winter
